Looking at the globe from space I see more blue then green. Listening to the limited view and design push of the green movement you would think this image would be green. One of the problems of living in a world view without God is that it distorts the vision of what is reality. The green worldview does not take into account the God-given creative resource and value of man.
Why don’t we redeem the green movement? We could call it Blue-Green. Blue-Green would take the mandate of stewardship and subjection of the earth to a God-given, higher level. It not only would encompass the vast creative stewardship issue of taking care of the planet and its resources, the movement would push for freedom, compassion and opportunities to provide for the vast resources of humanity that exist on this planet. It seeks to elevate the standard of living and design of all humanity, not just the elite and those who have in abundance. It is gospelistic not socialistic in implementation. While green only looks at everything to see how it will effect the natural environment, Blue-Green looks at everything and asks how will it effect both humanity and the environment.
I know this vision is expansive and inclusive. Way more then just the green movement. The implementation of which can only come from a God-given view and vision. When what we do and how we live effects all of creation for good, that is harmony indeed. That is Blue-Green, the color of our home.
